Vac-Rac rod carriers
Vac-Rac is a rod-holding system that allows transportation of fully rigged fly rods on the bonnet and roof of a vehicle. The system uses a unique vacuum or magnetic attachment base to ensure a secure and lasting hold on any smooth surface.
Suited to professional guides and casual anglers, the units attach easily to cars, 4WD’s, SUV’s, boats and trailers. The system was originally designed for fly rods, but will equally suit beach or spin rods. Up to four rods, held down to the padded rests by soft elastic cords, can be safely carried on the standard model. A pro model carrying eight rods is also available.
The Vac-Rac can be quickly removed for storage by simply prying up the edge of the magnetic or suction base. When in place, however, the unit will not slip or come off and rods can be transported ‘short-haul’ between fishing spots safely outside the vehicle, greatly reducing the chance of breakage. For longer or high-speed trips it is recommended to carry the rods disassembled inside the vehicle.
Manufactured from high impact UV stabilised plastic, each unit is factory tested before delivery and has a 12 month warranty.
